European Day of Languages

As you all know European Day of Languages is celebrated on the 26th September. The Literacy Blog team at Drogheda Grammar School have put together a list of books you can read in many different languages. Enjoy 😊

1) Gaeilge: Discó Dé Written by Séamus Mac Annaidh

2) French: No et Moi/No written by Delphine De Vigan

3) Dicen written by Lia H. James (Our very own 5th year student Julia Meza!)

Dicen que "Roxane" bebía café todas las mañanas, que era amante de la lectura y que le gustaban las rosas azules. Dicen que él la amó con todo su corazón, que tenía un nombre largo y difícil de recordar, que siempre se estaba acomodando las gafas y que tenía una fascinación por los misterios sin nombre. Se conocieron desde la distancia y apenas e intercambiado palabras. Poco supieron ellos lo difícil que iba a ser sobrevivir el día a día sin la persona que te alegra los días, y que no volvería nunca. Dejåndolos bailando debajo de la lluvia.

They say that "Roxane" used to drink coffee every morning, that she enjoyed to read and that she loved blue roses. They say that he loved her with all his heart, that he had a long name that was really hard to remember. That he always used to fix his glasses and that he had a fascination for the mysteries without name. They met from afar and they barely exchanged words.
