Hardly anyone loves to spend their free time studying for summer exams, which is why I have come up with three easy ways to get you through the next few weeks.
1. Make a study schedule:
Firstly, get a blank page and write down all the free hours you have after you're finished school and any extra-curricular activities.
Once you have figured out your free hours these can be your hours for study and homework! Of course you need to take some of that free time to relax too. If it's easier you can draw a grid and write the times and subjects to study. Take it chapter by chapter and don't rush. I came across the quote: "It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop" by Confucius. I think that this quote is one to remember when working.
2. Organise a study group:
If you think that you get easily distracted this might not be the best idea for your but,
If you are the type of learner that works better with others then create a study group to help keep yourself and others on track of your work and study. Studies show that you retain more information when you are actively engaging with the topic - so here is your excuse to talk!
3. Organise your study space:
This is one of the most important things to do when it comes to studying. A clean, organised space will help you stay on track and have everything you need right in front of you. It is a really good thing to do to clear your head too. I like the quote: "For every minute spent organizing an hour is earned" by Benjamin Franklin, because it motivates you to stay organized and on top of your work.
I'll leave you with a quote by Mark Twain: "The secret to getting ahead is getting started."
