On Wednesday 12th October, the dgs literacy team attended the city west hotel and conference centre to receive the Wellread National Award from the P.D.S.T. (professional development service for teachers) Our school is among the thirty schools to receive the award, along with a certificate and flag. This award highlights everything we have done last year to promote reading in our school. As some of you may know this includes our "book in a bag" scheme and our D.E.A.R. (drop everything and read) periods. The school was very honoured to received the award and we hope to maintain this high standard of reading in our school.
